What is your style?
“Photo Ninja.” Okay, not really, but I have been called that quite often. I like to get to know my couples, families, subjects. I want natural moments and genuine emotion in all of my photos, not cheesy staged photos. I don’t push for people to smile — it’s just a natural part of the process. I want them to laugh or feel an emotion… all on their own. Having fun is the most important part of a shoot for me. Happy people equal beautiful moments.
Do you do a lot of posing?
No. My style is more photojournalistic. I do take plenty of formal group shots at the wedding, but as far as posed that’s about it. Instead I direct people into situations where I know they will interact, giving me the opportunity to capture them at their best.
Do I get all of the images you take?
Yes. Well, almost all of them. If the camera misfired, if there was a double of the exact same shot, if you were in the middle of talking and your mouth is in a “Yo Adrian” type motion, I delete those. No embarrassing shots for you to see.
Do I get the High Resolution Files?
Yes. I want you to be able to print, copy, email, facebook your images to your heart’s desire. I also want you to keep a back-up of the photos in a safe in a vault in Fort Knox.
How long until I get to see my proofs?
Proofs from a portrait session are usually online and ready for you to see within 2 weeks. Weddings tend to take 3 weeks to get up online, although sometimes we get them up earlier.
What gear do you shoot and work with?
I use all Canon camera bodies, flashes and lenses, Quantum battery packs, Manfroto light stands and tripods(barely ever use a tripod), Sandisk flash cards, Apple computers, and Adobe Software.
Do you have Back up equipment?
For sure. Never leave home without it.
